Technical Sales Engineer (TSE)
You are the TSE (newly created position) based in Ismaning, Germany, the Vicor office that handles Eastern Europe, Russia and the Ukraine and will have the primary responsibility to support customers and sales channels with technical support when using Vicor products in their applications.
Major requirements for the TSE position are:
• engineering background in power electronics (University Degree) or equivalent culture with three years’ experience in similar positions
• solid technical background in analog & power electronics, experience in DC-DC and AC-DC power conversion
• sales oriented
• willing to travel extensively in Eastern Europe, Russia and the Ukraine, as much as required and up to 50% of working time, to reach assigned targets
• fluent in written and spoken English language
• knowledge of Russian language is critical, ideally a native speaker
• Knowledge of German language preferred
Primary activities of the TSE’s will be:
• Pre-sales customer support: identify the opportunities, introduce/explain the Vicor products, and configure the optimum solution for the design
• Post sales support: facilitate the design/integration of the component power solution, identify/solve application problems, and sort out failures/reliability issues.
• General Vicor promotion: attendance/participation at trade shows, press conferences & technical seminars and introduce/assist the roll out of new products.
• Technical material: if required, will produce/review documentation materials, such as application notes, data sheets, technical articles, white papers and such.
Feedback on technical, markets, applications, products trends, which can help the company taking the proper decisions when defining new courses and strategies
You as TSE will report to the Sales Manager Eastern Europe, and will work together with the office personnel in a teamwork approach that can effectively handle all the activities related to managing customer projects and gaining new design wins. Within this team, the TSE must work with the Sales Manager on addressing the best course of action to take when evaluating customer needs and the company’s interests. The FSE will follow objectives and priorities of the Sales Manager that can set, adapt and steer the FSE’s priorities based on Prioritised Business Opportunities (PBO) and Sales strategy.
Annual salary: € 50.000 (with additional bonus option)
